Edition 37 publishes art and photography in small editions. Selected and published by Wolf in Wels, Austria.
We work with the artists to turn a work into an edition: from photography and image preparation to choosing materials and making the final print. Format, paper and surface are chosen for each work.
The price of an edition also reflects this work. Test prints, adjustments and deciding when the result is right. Each work page specifies its materials, edition size and signature.
How it’s made
A photograph calls for different decisions than a painting or an object. Together with the artists, we decide how a work should take shape as an edition.
Depending on the work, this may involve photography, image preparation, material samples and test prints. We assess the physical result to see how format, colour and detail work together.
Paper & print
We choose paper, surface, format and production method for each individual work. What gives one image depth may get in the way of another.
Each edition page describes its specific materials and production method, so you know how the work you choose is made.
Authenticity & certificates
Edition size, formats and signing are decided for each release and stated on its work page. You know what you are getting before you buy.
For numbered editions, the copy number connects the work to its certificate. The documentation stays with the individual piece.
We identify the artists and explain how and where the work is made. That includes stating whether it is a reproduction, a photographic edition or another kind of work.
